LADWP is launching a new FREE central air conditioning servicing program beginning July 2016. It is for those who sign up for the Programmable Thermostat Program, and includes a free installation of a special programmable thermostat that can be used in LADWP's new demand response program - a highly impactful program for helping reduce electricity load at key peak times. Other items available in this AC optimization program, include:  air filter replacement, cleaning of outdoor coils, refrigerant charge check & adjustment, air flow check and adjustment and duct testing.  This program can be considered along with other home energy efficiency actions, such as insulation, fans and temperature regulating windows.

Cutting Emissions from Heating Palo Alto - Attic Insulation Rebate

Palo Alto residents can receive a $0.20 per square foot rebate when proper R-38 attic insulation is installed as a retrofit.  For example, a 1,000 square foot attic would be eligible for a $200 rebate. Since heating and cooling typically account for the largest amount of energy used in the average California home, you can save money year-round on your energy bills.
